A beautiful way to display dried flowers!
Instead of throwing away beautiful flowers once they are past their prime, why not dry them out and display in a pretty way? I had roses from both the night Steve proposed and from my 30th birthday (30 roses! ;) which I had dried. I let mine simply air dry as is, however I learned when preserving my wedding flowers to hang the bouquets upside down and spray them with starch for best results. I originally was going to display the flowers in a shadow box, but I had an empty jar in my kitchen in need of filling. I arranged the less slightly or damaged flowers in the middle of the jar and arranged the rest around the outside edge, building layer by layer. I added two a layers of baby's breath for extra texture. I'm happy to keep enjoying these beautiful flowers for years to come!
